If you don’t know Charlie, then you haven’t been paying attention. Just shy of
10 years of age, Charlie is the feistiest Wheaten Terrier we’ve ever had the
pleasure of meeting. His Dog of the Month status is long overdue; after all,
he’s been coming to day care since 2005! Whether it’s walking, running,
wrestling or fetch, everything Charlie does, he does at a fast pace. I don’t
think he’s ever stopped to “smell the roses” but that seems to be just fine with
him. He recently had to take some time off because he hurt his neck chasing deer
in the backyard. After 1 week of rest, he was back in action and faster than
ever. You just can’t slow Charlie down. Especially when he’s wrestling with his
best friend Sadie. Or splashing in the pool. Or shoveling snow with his nose. Or
playing with a ball. Like I said, you just can’t slow Charlie down. If he’s
still this lively at 10 years of age, I don’t see him slowing down anytime soon.
