MEET THE PACK

Top Dog: Amy (with Abby)

tampa doggy day care

Amy’s love of dogs began as a kid when her dad raised & showed German Shepherds, living with 14 of them at one point. During her career as a real estate broker, Amy opened her doggy day care in 2001 designed as a home away from home for black lab pup Abby. An amazing staff helped Amy grow the business which she continues to oversee after 16 years in business with dedicated & long term leadership at the helm of daily operations. Her focus continues to be on providing a fun, safe & clean environment where her client’s dog are treated with love, kindness & respect. For Amy, nothing is more rewarding then the wag of a dog’s tails when they arrive for day care & the smiles on her clients faces when they see their dog happy, content & well taken care of at the end of the day. Amy shares her life with husband Shawn, sons Roman & Casey, canine companions Dani, Dash, Jenna and Kramer and her heart with all her dog friends at Central Bark Tampa.

Meet Our Pack Leader: Lynda (with Ranger, Neiko, Izzy and Shelby)

Lynda was right by Amy’s side when our facility was opened on October 8th, 2001. She was instrumental in growing our business over eight years. After a hiatus to spend time with family and study pet nutrition she has returned as General Manager. Lynda has always had a love for animals and feels very blessed to continue to have a career that is her passion. Her priority is to manage a facility that is the most loving, caring and fun home away from home for our client’s pets. She strives to provide the best customer service and to always continue to interact with our clients and pets on a personal level. Lynda also enjoys being involved with local animal rescues, charities and events and loves sharing her knowledge of pet nutrition and pet behavior. Keisha has been with Central Bark since 2006. Through her years with us she has created a bond with the dogs and clients, and takes great pleasure in providing the best possible experience for everyone. She loves learning all kinds of new games and techniques to make things fun and interesting on the playground. Keisha has a passion for all things dog, including the latest toys, treats, food, supplements and grooming! She has been grooming here at Central Bark for 5 years and has an innate talent in finding the perfect look for your dog, as well as creating a nice relaxing environment for a lovely spa session for your pup! You will always see Keisha with a smile and ready to tell you a funny story about the day! Keisha’s little family includes her husband Michael and Boston Terrier Marshall and Dachshund Chaka.

Chelsey Burns – Dog Handler/Supervisor (with Daisy)

Chelsey began her career with Central Bark at the young age of 14! Currently, a senior at University of South Florida, majoring in Criminology, she continues to successfully balance school and work. Through her 8 years as an experienced dog handler, she has developed a unique connection with each of the dogs in her care, especially those with special needs.   Always an animal lover, Chelsey makes sure to lavish each pup of every shape and size, with copious amounts of hugs and belly rubs!

If you are lucky enough to be in Chelsey’s play group, you will be sure to feel the warmth of her heart – just like Daisy, her very own 10 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback.
