National Dog Show 2016

Added on November 2, 2016

This year’s National Dog Show will be presented by Purina in Philadelphia on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20.

Each and every year over 2,000 of the top American Kennel Club sanctioned dogs, representing over 175 different breeds, travel from all over the country to compete for best of breed, first in group and best in show.

There’s more to this event than just competition, too.  There will be a full slate of dog exhibitions, demonstrations, hands-on fun and family-friendly activities.

For more than 125 years now, The Kennel Club of Philadelphia has proudly presented dog shows.  This particular show is broadcasted nationwide on NBC immediately following the Macy’s Day Parade.  The reach of this dog show is truly stunning.  Nearly 20 million viewers tune in year after year to watch, what has become, a family event and a holiday tradition.

The show will be hosted by former Seinfeld star John O’Hurley and Mary Carillo, with commentary by David Frei aka “dean of dog show commentators.”
