Meet Cleo! Cleo is a lovely four year old pitbull mix who has been coming to Central Bark since December 2011. In the beginning, Cleo was SO shy and wary of new people and it has been such a joy to watch her overcome her fears and anxieties; she now pulls her momma in our doors J! In our interview with Cleo, she revealed to Central Bark some little known “facts” that have influenced her formative years.
- Cleo made a lot of money in the late 1990’s as Ms. Cleo the fortune teller. The gig only lasted a couple years because Cleo hated giving people bad news and felt pressure from her agent to concoct more “juicy “fortunes.
- She is fascinated with tap dancing and will spend many hours watching YouTube videos of Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
- In her spare time, Cleo enjoys dabbling with sculpture. Her newest endeavor includes sculptures made out of everyday household items. This has caused some issues at home when mom has begun to notice certain items disappearing.
- Her favorite movie is Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor. Last Halloween she dressed up like Ms. Taylor but used a black Sharpie for eye liner; it didn’t wash off until Christmas.
- When Cleo caught wind of a restaurant in Chicago called “Cleo’s” she immediately applied for the general manager position. She is still eagerly awaiting a call back.
- Cleo enjoys “paying it forward” whenever she can. She volunteers at Feed My Starving Children at least once a week and is always spending her allowance on the customers behind her in the Starbuck’s drive-thru.
Congratulations Cleo! This month we will be celebrating the Fourth and YOU!
