It’s race time again! After a two-year hiatus, it’s time for Oktoberfest and the 16th Annual Central Bark Dachshund Dash!

What? Central Bark Dachshund Dash 2022
When? Saturday, October 8. Races will begin at 5pm sharp.
Where? Jaco Pastorius Park, 4000 North Dixie Highway, Oakland Park, FL 33334

If you would you like to enter your Dachshund in this fun event, here’s what you need to know:
  1. Only Dachshunds can run in the Dachshund Dash.
  2. All ages are welcome.
  3. Dogs must have proof of vaccination.
  4. Each team must have at least two humans for each dog. One human will be at the start of the race to “hold” the dog and the other at the end of the race to “catch” the dog.
  5. Dogs must start in the “starting box”. No human hands can go into the “finish box” (more details at the race).
  6. We run several heats and the winner of each heat runs the final race. Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the final heat.
  7. Space is limited, we have 64 spots. PRE-REGISTER TODAY!
Sound like fun?
  1. Pre-register using the form below or call Central Bark at (954) 568-3647 by noon on Friday, October 7.
  2. Bring your dog to Jaco Pastorius Park on Saturday, October 8 and check-in at the Central Bark tent between 2-4pm.
  3. Races start at 5pm sharp, starting with oldest dogs first. Each dog and owner team will be called up by the Race Caller, so make sure you are at the “starting line” with your dog by 5pm.
  4. Have fun!
  5. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places.
