Our Pack Leader: Jessica Whitney

Jessica's bioJessica Whitney purchased Central Bark Brookfield in May of 2014. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communication as well as a master’s degree in business. She also holds certifications in project management and meeting planning. Prior to purchasing the daycare, Jessica worked as a pharmaceutical meeting planner and was also an adjunct professor. Her passion, however, has always been dogs.

After being a customer of Central Bark Wauwatosa for 10 years, she was able to make her dream a reality by purchasing this existing location. Jessica’s love of dogs started with her first rescue, Murphy in 2002. Murphy was an English lab and stole her heart the moment she laid eyes on him. She knew she needed to fill her heart with more love so in 2003, Jessica adopted Benny, Central Bark Wauwatosa’s first rescue dog.

With heart breaking sadness, both Murphy and Benny have crossed over the rainbow bridge and it is in their honor and memory that Jessica owns this location. Gone but not forgotten.

Both Lucy and Puddy came into Jessica’s life as rescues and fill her days with smiles and laughter. You can see them anytime you stop by the daycare either eating a beef bone or jumping up to the window to see their mom working.

It truly has been a dream come true for Jessica to own and operate Central Bark. She hopes to continue to add to her four legged family….saying “You can never have enough doggy love”.
