About Central Bark Brookfield

Jessica Whitney’s true passion has always been her rescue dogs. Jessica was one of the first customers at the Central Bark – Wauwatosa location over 15 years ago. She proudly adopted one of Central Bark’s first foster dogs named Benny. Shortly after purchasing the Central Bark-Brookfield location, she decided she wanted to give back to the dog community that had given her such love and joy.

There are pivotal moments in our lives that open our eyes to both the beauty and the tragedy of our world. In 2017, a pivotal moment prompted her to act to make a difference.

After the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, she was compelled to do something. Her love for dogs drives almost every action in her life. The shelters in Houston were struggling because so many animals were injured or displaced due to the storm. So, she collected supplies and raised some money, and her and a partner made the long trek to Houston, arriving ready and eager to help. This experience touched Jessica in such a way that she decided to form her own dog rescue to continue to give back to the community.
