PUPPY PARADISE
Central Bark provides room and board for your four-legged friends.
If you see a wagging tail or a smiling dog owner, it’s possible they’ve taken advantage of the multitude of amenities at Eden Prairie’s Central Bark Doggy Day Care (6340 Industrial Drive).
“We believe that all dogs are social creatures that yearn to be with other dogs,” owner Stacie Shaw says. “Central Bark gives your dog a safe outlet to be a dog.”
Emphasizing consistency and a socially centered atmosphere, Central Bark requires canine clients to be active in the program for at least one day per week on a scheduled and reserved day. “This way your dog plays with dogs and staff that s/he is familiar with on a consistent basis,” Shaw says. ‘We have found that this creates the very best situation for doggy socialization.”
Described as ‘the un-kennel” Central Bark offers boutique pet supplies, doggy parties, sleepovers, and a salon. Dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome.
Shaw describes daytime activities as similar to child daycare. And that’s true if your children play in groups all morning before taking naps and eating snacks while listening to classical music and enjoying aromatherapy. ‘And the really lucky pups get to spend the night with us when moms and dads are out of town,” Shaw says.
A day of doggy day care costs $28, sleepovers are $42, and discounts are available for volume purchases and multi-dog households. To learn more, visit centralbarkusa.com/edenprairie or call 952-224-4490.
