Jackie
(Schwanberg) Jordan (pictured with her dogs Frank,
Li'l Bam Bino and Chili) is one of the owners
and creator of Harmony Pet Care, Inc. She has
a B.S. degree in Sociology, minoring in Business
Administration and an A.S. degree in Veterinary
Technology. After 11 years in corporate America,
she decided it was time to do her lifelong dream,
and was thrilled to be able to combine her degrees
and her passion to create Harmony Pet Care in
partnership with Dr. Brenda Johansen and her
flag-ship company Doggy Day Care, DBA Central
Bark Doggy Day Care, which has now expanded into
a franchise company!
Jackie is a volunteer with the Wisconsin
Humane Society, facilitating dog behavior
seminars, and is involved with many other community
events in which she spreads the word about good
dog ownership and spaying and neutering household
pets.
Dr.

Veterinarian
Dr.
Brenda Johansen is a licensed veterinarian and
1997 graduate of the UWMadison School of
Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate
work at the UW-Madison and Colorado State University.
Dr. Johansen has been practicing exclusively
in small animal medicine since graduation in both
general and emergency practices. She has a special
interest in laser and soft tissue surgery, anesthesia
and internal medicine. When out of the office,
she enjoys doing agility with her dogs Cricket
and Ty and training and showing her horses. Dr.
Johansen has three cats, including Phoebe who
lives at HPC full time as the official greeter.
Dr.
Johansen is federally accredited and a member
of the American Veterinary Medical Association,
the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association,
the Waukesha Veterinary Medical Association and
the American Animal Hospital Association. She
visits all Milwaukee area CBDDC locations monthly.
Laura
(with Carson, Emmyt, and Tucker) General Manager
Laura Tuttle, pictured with her Boston Terrier Emmyt and her Lab mix Tucker, is no stranger to Doggy Day Care. Starting out as a long-time customer of CBDDC (Tucker was just a wee-pup), then joining the team as CBDDC's groomer, she was later promoted to Facility Manager of the west side day care and kennels at Harmony Pet Care. Currently the General Manager of Harmony Pet Care, she is also a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Practice Managers Association through which she furthers her education in the animal industry. Behavior Seminars, Behavior Videos and books and Training classes are just a few of the tools that she furthers her knowledge and understanding of pets. Laura brings with her a wide range of experience and knowledge in animal care, behaviors, and training.
Laura and her husband Neil share their home with Tucker, Emmyt, Carson, and their cats Baxter and Nigel.
Dr.
Mary Hartay (with Barclay)
Veterinarian
Dr.
Hartay earned her Bachelors degree in biology
from Purdue University and received her Doctorate
of Veterinary Medicine from University of Wisconsin-Madison
in 1993. She practices small animal medicine and
surgery exclusively since graduation. Dr Hartay
has been active as a member of various veterinary
organizations and served two years as the secretary-treasurer
of the Milwaukee Veterinary Medical Association.
In addition to quilting, crafting and volunteer
work, Dr Hartay spends her time with her husband,
Scott, their two children, Annie and Matthew,
and her Golden Retriever, Barclay, a registered
therapy dog.
JoAnn (with Nellie and Norman) CVT
JoAnn is a graduate of the Madison Area Technical College Veterinary Technology program. She has over a decade of clinical experience with small animals. JoAnn has a hobby farm with her husband John where they raise a variety of animals. JoAnn has two dogs and two cats, and is currently training her Chesapeake Bay Retriever "Nellie" for hunt trials. Her other CBR, “Norman”, has his AKC and UKC finished titles.
Kathleen graduated in 1986 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She went onto working at the Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin for 10 years in surgery. She currently volunteers at the Wisconsin Humane Society as a dog walker. Kathleen and her husband John share their home with two Gordon Setters, Reggie (Brown/Tan) and Daphne (Black/Tan) shown above.
Luann has worked in Customer Service Related positions for 10 years before starting at Harmony in September 2003. She has one daughter, Michelle, who graduated from Marquette University in May 2003, a Golden Retriever/Sheltie mix named Rylee and the newest addition, Maddigan, a Katrina Rescue Mix.

Katie
Day Care Manager
Katie received her bachelor’s degree with an Art History major from Valparaiso University in May 2006. She has been a member of the Harmony Pet Care staff since October 2006, and became kennel manager in December of 06. In April of 2008, she began work as the daycare manager. She has had previous job experience with dog handling and pet sitting since high school and is an avid animal lover who has always enjoyed reading and learning more about animal behavior. Her interests include photography, and she enjoys integrating her love of art with her four-legged clientele at Harmony. Her and her husband, Andy, have a four-legged child, McCartney, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Heather Kennel Manager
Heather graduated from the University
of Wisconsin- Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s
degree in Biology. She started at Harmony in October
of 2004 as a
part- time dog handler. In the fall of 2006 she took over the full time position of Pet Care Supervisor and as of May 2008 has become our Kennel Manager.
Throughout the year she enjoys spending time outdoors
with Angus, either in the snow or camping in the
summer with her family.
Teresa
Pet Care Supervisor
Ever since she was a little girl, Teresa always loved animals. She volunteered at Washington County Humane Society dog walking and playing with the pups. Wisconsin Humane Society was the next stop for knowledge where she had hands on dog training since 2007. She is still volunteering at Wisconsin Humane Society as an assistant dog trainer. Teresa started at Harmony Pet Care in early 2008 and quickly showed her knowledge of pets and training and became our Pet Care Supervisor soon after she started. She acquires more knowledge daily through hands on work at Harmony and at the Humane Society. She shares her life with her Rottweiler, Cyrus.
