It takes about 6-9 months to get a Central Bark Doggy Day Care open for business.  We have developed 12 offerings designed to reduce that time and get your doors open faster.  This represents a tremendous advantage and gets you generating revenue in your business faster and that’s good for everyone.  The Central Bark® Doggy Day Care Operations Manual is your daily guide to general operations, training, marketing guidelines and other essential topics.  In addition, we provide our franchise partners with comprehensive training, tools and resources to help them maximize their operating performance by solving problems before they arise. 1. The UnKennel™ - This is the corner stone of our operations and business model. This simple 1 day per week commitment is the result of our many years of experience managing dogs in a social setting. Since 1997 with more than 620,831 total dog visits, we have learned more about dogs, dog socialization and dog behavior than any other in the industry. It is that experience and expertise that sets apart from the pack as the leader. We know that maintaining consistency and continuity of care creates not only yours dogs home away from home, but the safest possible social environment for dogs. To us any other way is a risk that we are not willing to take with a dog. For us the “dog” is really the bottom-line and not just something that we say. From a business side – you will achieve consistent cash flow and revenue rather than the inconsistencies and spikes and valleys of a traditional Kennel operation. And as a business person, who wouldn’t want that!
2. BarkStart™ - Central Bark’s one-of-a-kind BarkStart program is one of the primary reasons Central Bark’s Franchisees get off to such a fast start. This is a Pre-Training coaching program that holds your hand through every detail of your new business start-up. It is also one of the reasons we have been chosen 2 years in a row as the best Pet Franchise through feedback from our Franchisees by the Franchise Business Review.
3. BarkSource™ - Fast Track Opening and Build-out with One–Stop–Shopping to facilitate and expedite the time it takes to open your store – Our propriety relationship with BarkSource will make the planning and build-out of your store a seamless process. From Lease review, planning and CAD drawings to the installation of cash wraps and flooring, BarkSource is a one-stop-shop designed to take months off the opening process, they take care of it all. They handle all of the details which gives you the time a freedom to focus on the important stuff like building your business before you open!
4. (BYT) Bark Your Territory™ - Fast Track Interior and exterior Signage Package –Our national sign company partner specializes in Franchises. Together we have designed a full compliment of your interior and exterior signage. No more working with multiple vendors for you. Just one phone call give you access to everything that you need related to signage. The process is simple, fast and convenient. Again, you are freed up to focus on the really important things, like building your business!
5. Barkware POS™ – Proprietary Doggy Day Care Management Software. This is the industries only Doggy Day Care software. We did not take a Kennel program and adopt it for our needs. We built our software from the ground up. And what an advantage. This software mirrors our operation. It will manage the POS, record keeping, documentation, history, daily communications, financials, reporting……everything that will make your day a breeze all right in front of you on a series of specially designed doggy day care screens. Again, this timesaving program will free you up to focus on your customers and building your business.
6. (DSMM) - Doggy Socialization Management Matrix™ - Taking the Headaches out of HR training and management. This Human Resource module will support you in screening, hiring, training and managing your employees in as way that empowers them. Hourly employees can be very difficult to manage, but with this support of this HR tool you start by picking the right people. A huge percentage of every day is required for HR purposes. Fondly referred to as the “Matrix” this tool helps you manage your two legged charges, so they can focus on our four legged customers!
7. Barkley’s Tail End Site™ - Back-end Communication for the sharing of ideas amongst our Franchisees. This is a tool designed to provide our franchisees with a forum for collaboration and sharing. By creating this tool we have given our franchisees a vehicle to stay connected as a system and a productive way to work together toward a common goal of providing our Doggy Day Care services for the 75 million dogs in America.
8. BITES™ - Barkely’s Information Technology & Electronic Media Support – This is for our Technology Challenged! We take the “bite” out of everything that has to do with your computer system, website or Information Technology! With one call you gain access to a team of technology experts that can support and guide you through just about any computer challenge. Whether you just need to “control/alt/delete” or something much more complicated, this team is here and dedicated to getting you back up and on-line as soon as possible to minimize any business interruption whatsoever.
9. Central Bark University™ - BVI maintains a commitment to continuing education, training and development. With our years of experience, comes an understanding that we need to be life long learners to continue to grow and improve. With that comes a commitment to gaining more knowledge through research and development. Central Bark University is our education component. Through CBU we are constantly learning and developing training tools for our franchisees, both our 2 legged and 4-legged customers and the communities that support us. In addition to our own work we have our fingers on the pulse beat of dog training, behavior and socialization. With endorsements from experts in the industry like Sue Sternburg, we continue to be on the leading edge when it comes to dogs.
10. Forever Home™ foster dog program - All of our facilities maintain a commitment to giving back to the community. One way is through our Forever Home foster dog program. Our stores all work with local dog shelters and rescue organizations to foster dogs in-house at our facilities. The idea is to create a positive environment for a foster dog that will prepare the dog for it’s “Forever Home”. By fostering these dogs and integrating the dogs into our socialization program, providing training, love and support these dogs are more easily adopted.
11. Dog Bless America™ - Dog Bless America is our national charitable initiative. This program was designed to support local dogs that work in service with our police forces or with the armed forces. Today, the program has evolved into a collaboration with Sr. Pauline Quinn. Sister is the person responsible for creating the Prison Dog Program, which is considered one of the most effective rehabilitation programs in the American penitentiary system. Our efforts today are helping to fund the Service Dog Training for dogs that will be trained in a Prison Dog Program and then hopefully matched with an injured Veteran.
