Congrats, Leia
Oswego, IL January Dog of the Month!
Leia is a 2 ½ year old spaniel mix that was adopted from a local shelter. She’s been coming to Central Bark since June of 2010 shortly after she was adopted. She was somewhat timid and scared when she first started coming, but Miss Leia has really come out of her shell. She is sometimes the bossy girl in the group, but always in a fun way. She can get Cooper running and playing like no other dog can. If she wants him to play, she simply won’t let him alone. He normally gives in to her and chases and wrestles with her. Leia has lots of friends here, including Abby, Chase, Chester, Dolly, Griff, Goldie, Kochi, Libbie, Milo, Nick, Penny, Sami and Skipper. Leia is a very agile girl who loves to jump into her own crate on the 2nd tier. She won’t allow you to pick her up and put her in it, but she’ll wait and allow you to set her up so that she won’t miss. She’s great at sitting and waiting at doors and gates and her parents have taught her well. Her release words are “all done” and she won’t move until her mom says them. We love having her here at Central Bark. Enjoy your time in the spotlight Leia – you deserve it!
