Congrats, Payton!
Grayslake, IL November Dog of the Month!
Meet Payton! Payton is a very handsome black lab who has been coming to Central Bark since February 2007. If this was high school, Payton would definitely be the cool kid that everybody wants to hang out with. He does have an entourage here that includes Baxter, Viking, Staley and Rocky the boxer. They all look up to Payton and follow him around in awe of his super cool presence. Payton also likes to take on the role of bodyguard when he feels a dog is not respecting the handlers. For example, if one of our handlers is playing with a dog and he or she lets out a playful growl, Payton will position himself in the middle of them until the handler tells Payton that it’s okay, it was just play! Payton also has a keen sense of time and will mosey on over towards the gate just before we are about to let the dogs in. When mama Kelli comes to pick him up, Payton will just plop down on the floor, completely exhausted from his play day. There is however, one unsettling thing about Payton… his parents are Iowa fans! To that we say “Go Badgers!” Payton dear, enjoy your reign as Mr. November… it has been long overdue!
